Tucked away on twelve acres overlooking the majestic Hudson River, Mount Gulian
is an 18th century Dutch Colonial Homestead with a large historic barn, meadow
field and heritage garden, surrounded by deep woods.
If it's a unique venue you're looking for, you’ll find it at Mount Gulian.
The restored 1730's home served as a Revolutionary War Headquarters and is
a national historic landmark. The comfortable museum rooms in the house are
furnished with 18th and 19th century antiques and authentic reproductions.
The reception room, which boasts a working fireplace, can accommodate fifty
guests for a sit-down dinner, year round. The cozy 1740's Dutch-style barn,
with its original wood plank floors and hand-hewn beams can accommodate up
to one hundred and fifty guests for a sit down dinner, from May through October.
You and your guests will delight in the gentle slope of the grounds, complete
with river view, old stands of trees and lovely flower garden. Wedding parties
often set up a reception tent on the grounds and delight guests with the finest
local caterers’ cuisine and local musicians.
Mount Gulian is suited only for the most discriminating couple, looking particularly
for an unparalleled venue that will launch their lives together from a park-like,
fantasy setting. Event planners will enjoy utilizing our functional and scenic
site.
